For Kids

Who We Are
Canoeing for Kids is a non-profit organization serving as a free recreational outlet for disadvantaged children. Canoeing for Kids' primary function is to provide free kayak, paddleboard, and canoe trips for underprivileged children. Since 1993 over 30,000 kids have benefited from the experience of being "on the water" and "in the "woods". Teamwork, self-reliance, a sense of accomplishment, as well as awareness and conservation of nature are achieved while the kids simply have fun.

Our Mission
Canoeing for Kids' provides free kayak, paddleboard and canoe trips for children's homes, camps for kids' with health issues, physically and mentally challenged children, and many other qualifying groups. Adventures are catered to the individual group's skills and/or limitations. We strive to create an environment of fun!

Our Furry Friends!

Moose
Meet Moose! Moose was the consummate ambassador for CFK. He never met a stranger and loved the water. He is now our guardian angel!

Little Moose
Little Moose was a clone of his Dad! He was very laid back and loved to greet all the paddlers. He always brought a smile to everyone's faces.

Charlie
Charlie is the queen of our organization. She doesn't swim, but nonetheless, she loves to interact with everyone. She especially loves to play fetch.
